Description
The Procurement Services Department is looking for a Buyer who is Certified in Governmental Procurement to assist the managerial staff in reviewing contractual binding documents to ensure they comply with Federal, State, District and Local procurement regulations, policies and procedures. They should also be able to perform cost and price analysis and all other duties as described in this job description.Requirements

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Associate’s degree or five years procurement experience (50% in public sector) Experience of at least three (3) years doing hands-on purchasing, experience creating and managing most complex Federal, State and local government procurements: Formal Invitations to bid, Requests for Proposals and Invitations to Negotiate Proven ability to deal with problems/needs/protests from users, the public, vendors, contractors, Federal/State auditors in a competent, professional manner Proven ability to perform both price and cost analysis that meets Federal, State and auditor standards
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS: National contracts or procurement certification such as NIGP-CPP, CPPO, CPPB
