The Procurement Specialist I work under direct supervision to collect, review, input, and audit data. Performs research and runs routine reports to support daily business functions. Monitors order transmission in Ariba. Organizes and maintains electronic files, databases, and website updates. Routes all purchase requisitions in the procurement workflow, catalog / non-catalog orders. Conducts testing in Ariba pre-production environment to ensure the new catalogs' functionality and other system upgrades are working properly. Reviews catalogs, industry periodicals, directories, trade journals, and Internet sites and consults with other department personnel to locate necessary products, services, and equipment. Runs reports and reconciles daily order log from the Ariba Supplier Network (ASN) against the daily Ariba buyer reports to ensure orders are successfully transmitted to vendors; follow up on discrepancies and coordinate resolution with OIIT as needed.
Working knowledge of general procurement, project management, sourcing, e-procurement, electronic catalog maintenance, website maintenance. Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel). Associate degree or equivalent combination of experience and/or education and minimum three (3) years' experience in procurement, project management, sourcing, e-procurement, electronic catalog maintenance, website maintenance.
