Description
Coordinates efforts between BEP and the CMS Bureau of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement (BOSSAP)for their respective spend portfolios to analyze and determine potential BEP bid opportunities which fixes objectives and states principles to control actions of multiple Bureaus, Divisions, and private businesses. Serves authoritatively as a policy‐formulating administrator for the planning, directing, implementing, and administering the development and ongoing administration of the entities of the Business Enterprise Program (BEP), which is mandated by statute in the Business Enterprise for Minorities, Females, and Persons with Disabilities Act. Serves as official agency spokesperson on behalf of the CEI Chair and the commission to the Governor’s Office, state agency heads, university officials, vendors, contractors, state chambers of commerce, public, private, and federal officials on BEP initiatives and issues. May serve as Secretary of the Business Enterprise Council on behalf of the CEI Chief of Staff. Maintains administrative responsibility working in concert with the other Deputy Director of BEP with all BEP operational staff for BEP Compliance Coordination and the Veteran’s Business Program. Oversees financial management, federal financial participation, and monitors these components’ performance to ensure policy and procedure development is consistent with Commission objectives. Performs special projects on various BEP issues for the CEI Chief of Staff, frequently of a highly sensitive and confidential nature. Serves as full line supervisor.Requirements
Four (4) + years professional experience exercising judgment and discretion in developing, implementing, and interpreting departmental policies and procedures. Four (4) + years professional experience in business management and managing cross-functioning organizational entities. Four (4) + years professional experience with staff utilization and employee motivation. Four (4) + years professional experience analyzing administrative programs and adopt an effective course of action. Four (4) + years professional experience developing and maintaining cooperative working relationships.Application Process
