Description

The Sr. Sourcing Specialist is responsible for driving the sourcing procurement of goods and services in alignment with business leadership, along with contracting and supplier relationship management. You will lead competitive commodity and category strategies to achieve lowest total cost for your projects, reduced working capital via negotiation planning and execution. In a dynamic environment you will manage multiple projects and supplier performance to ensure supply continuity; and ensure compliance with city business policies and procedures. Performs a wide variety of data management work within the Procurement Planning and Strategic Sourcing office of the Department of Watershed Management. Collects and organizes information to prepare acquisition packages in the form of Invitations for Bid (IFB), Request for Qualifications (RFQs), Request for Proposals (RFPs), amendments, change orders, and task orders of any complexity, enterprise-wide sourcing while providing contract administration support and assistance for both finished goods and professional services. May maintain ongoing reporting processes and produce organizational reports that convey types of solicitations by office, due dates, legislative activity, and program/project management resources. Requirements

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Leads high energy, cross-functional teams responsible for developing, implementing, and executing of sourcing strategies specific to defined category in order to reduce cost and mitigate risk.

• Manages and conducts procurement solicitations (IFB, RFI, RFP, RFQ) of any complexity, enterprise-wide sourcing projects (e.g., preparing bid analysis, process specifications, tests, reports, and other exhibits for critical and complex requirements, presenting sourcing recommendations, managing timeline related to bid/proposal - meetings, amendments, and notifications).
