Description

Uses a proactive approach in leading the District forward in securing quality suppliers of materials and professional services. Supports the continuous improvement of sourcing methods and effective stewardship of taxpayer dollars. Leads sourcing projects in support of assigned stakeholder units within the District and drives those projects to successful completion, including market analysis, RFx process, negotiations, contact creation and contract management. These projects may include but are not limited to school and administrative supplies, contracted professional services supporting all primary and secondary education/curriculum, HR, Community Relations, Legal, Internal Communications and Enterprise stakeholders within the District. Responsible for carrying out analysis and providing recommendations related to the process and efficiencies of Strategic Sourcing; must be familiar with laws, policies, codes and regulations applicable through the Board of Education and Colorado Revised Statutes. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele. Responsibilities: --- Develop strong relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine requirements for strategic sourcing efforts in support of the District and gain alignment in pursuing new savings/value add opportunities. --- Develop and implement efficiencies, standardized tools, practices and procedures shortening the quotation, RFP and decision making/evaluation time. --- Drive cost savings through continuous improvement activities assessing micro-and macro-economic factors and conducting financial analysis to identify industry opportunities and create strategies for risk mitigation. --- Participate in higher-order procurement activities such as internal demand management and partnering with suppliers for innovation to add value and achieve continuous process improvement. --- Determine Total Cost of Ownership for products and services sourced. --- Manage personnel in support of Strategic Sourcing and Contract Administration process. --- Manage supplier relationships and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to evaluate and report performance. --- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. --- Represent the District for all applicable RFP's, RFI's, RFQ’s and other sourcing activities.
