DescriptionThe Director of Procurement and Supply Chain Management is responsible for directing, managing, and developing strategies for all aspects of procurement, including contracts, purchasing, management and distribution of materials, equipment, and services, and warranty programs. This position identifies and implements innovative solutions and process improvements to TriMet's procurement and supply chain management to achieve cost reduction, increase utilization of certified firms and minimize impacts to internal and external customers by ensuring quality and availability of goods and services.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree in business, public administration, or law is required. 10 years of progressively responsible procurement or contract administration positions, experience or exposure to large scale procurement programs, and procurement or contract administration at managerial/supervisory level that included any combination of managing procurement functions, materials management, and/or financial resources in an environment demanding high levels of policy, legal, and procedural compliance. Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.), Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO), or Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) highly desirable.
