DescriptionJob Description - Manage all aspects of procurement for the university as the designated College or University Procurement Officer (CUPO). Evaluate spend, collect, and report on key metrics for continuous efficiencies. Plan, direct, and/or supervise the work of procurement, purchasing card, risk insurance, fuel card program, ARI vehicle maintenance program, and Fleet Coordination. In conjunction with Legal Affairs, review, approve, and facilitate the valid execution of state entity contracts for the procurement of goods, services, and equipment for the University in accordance with state laws and institutional policies and practices. Oversee bids as well as track and facilitate the administration of contract for renewal, amendments, and terminations. Serves as the university contact with the Department of Administrative Services (DOAS). This position requires time beyond the normal operating hours of the university during peak times and especially at fiscal year-end. Other duties as assigned. If not currently a Certified Purchasing Professional, certification must be obtained within first six months of employment.
RequirementsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a specified field and five (5) years of related work experience. Professional licensure, certification, and/or designation may be required in some areas. Candidate must become GCPA certified after six (6) months of hire.
