SANDAG is a world-class institution with a culture of innovation and embracing new ideas. Using data and technology to inform planning, SANDAG connects people, places, and innovative ideas by building projects within the San Diego region’s unique and diverse communities. The Director is an agency leader who plans, directs, and manages a large procurement program along with a cohesive team of 20 dedicated staff members. Approximately $300 to $400 million is spent in awards to consultants, contractors, and vendors via 50 to 60 formal and approximately 100 informal procurements each year.
