Why Leaders Edge

According to the Association for Talent Development (ATD): “Leadership in the public sector is especially important; it not only influences the job performance and satisfaction of employees, but also how government and public agencies perform. Leadership is critical to good public governance, including good planning, efficiency, transparency, and accountability.”

At NIGP, we recognize the importance of leadership in public procurement. That’s why we created Leaders Edge, a fully immersive competency-based leadership development experience that’s focused on providing leaders with the tools they need for success. Participants begin their journey with individual assessments, where they discover insights into their own emotional intelligence and communication styles and how that impacts their role as a leader. The program includes many opportunities to hear from industry leaders, network with peers, problem-solve and apply concepts to a participant’s specific role. Graduates gain exclusive access to the NIGP NSite group LEA: Leaders Edge Alumni, where the experience continues through resource sharing and collaboration.
