Overview

We as procurement professionals have spent years crafting our skills to get the right price.  It’s one of the first things we learn in government procurement…. award goes to the responsive, responsible supplier with the lowest price.  So, what’s out there, is there anything more we can do? One of the current “buzz” phrases in business is value beyond price/cost, but what exactly is that? What does this mean for procurement? Where do we find this “value”? This session will explore sourcing options to assist you in getting real, true value that has a positive impact and demonstrates the strategic value that your procurement organization contributes to the entity.

1. Gain insight into the concept of adding value
