Public Purchasing Association of Northern Ohio offers its first professional training class – Introduction to Public Procurement
Here’s what one attendee had to say:
I signed up not sure what would be covered and if 3 days in a classroom would be valuable. The class touched on all areas of public purchasing duties and raised interest for additional education on specific topics.
I would recommend this class to new career agents and as a refresher to all purchasing staff.
Cuyahoga County Public Library is the first public procurement position I have held. This class taught me terms, rules and definitions not exactly the same as past knowledge or early training.
With 10 PPANO members present it was interesting to hear how their agencies treated similar situations. Some new buyers had a fresh take on the profession and this added to the learning experience. I learned things from my peers I had not considered in the past.
Thank you Jackie Williams and Tiffany Johnson for arranging this first class for PPANO, it was a success.
