Intended Audience:

This program is designed for those who wish to conduct training on behalf of NIGP in addition to other job responsibilities. The program is designed to educate and prepare participants for delivering continuing education opportunities for the professional procurement community.
 

Course Objectives and Intended Outcomes:

An intensive three-day program designed to prepare certified purchasing professionals to become qualified NIGP instructors. The participant will become knowledgeable in some of the fundamental concepts, principles, theories, and techniques of education and instruction, be able to identify ways to use audio/visual aids effectively, and receive suggestions for incorporating various tools and technologies into the classroom. Participants will prepare and demonstrate a short presentation that will demonstrate their capabilities to apply and demonstrate that knowledge in a practical situation. Participation in this seminar does not ensure selection for the instructor consortium.

Three (3) points are issued for certification or re-certification upon successful completion of this seminar. Successful completion of this seminar does not ensure enrollment in the student teaching training module for NIGP Instructors.
