Instructors
Every NIGP instructor holds a current CPPO or
CPPB designation. Each instructor has successfully completed the NIGP Train The
Trainer Seminar as well as completing his/her NIGP Student Training experiences
that are pre-qualifications to become an NIGP certified instructor. These
Certified Instructors have successfully completed five (5), two or three day
NIGP seminars and achieved a customer approval rating of ninety percent (90%) or
above on seminar evaluations submitted by students to advance them to Master
Instructor within the cadre of Certified Instructors. All instructors are
required to continuously demonstrate established performance criteria.
Similarly, each instructor possesses work-related experience in the specialties
for which he/she is instructing. The instructors have a broad range of
information and understanding of the subject matter. Instructors also have the
ability to communicate the subject matter through various teaching methods in
such a manner as to facilitate the student’s ability to gain insight, knowledge,
skill, and/or ability in the area of concentration.
NIGP instructors are required to adhere to the following guidelines for course
instruction:

Follow course
outline and syllabus |

Utilize total
scheduled course time and not dismiss classes early |

Demonstrate
enthusiasm towards the subject matter and teaching |

Present material in
a clear and organized manner |
 |
Encourage student
participation, contribution and questions |

Facilitate
classroom discussion and/or exercises |

Utilize visual aids
provided by NIGP |

Develop and follow
lesson plans |
 |
Present an ethical
and professional manner as to maintain and increase the goodwill and
reputation of NIGP Certified Instructors |
Each assigned instructor must also abide by
NIGP’s policies, the NIGP Code of Ethics, and any agreements entered into by
NIGP. The instructor shall teach from the designated material provided and published by NIGP. The
instructor will not utilize any venues available through this contract as an
opportunity to market or distribute any non-NIGP products or services, including
those independently developed, produced and/or promoted by the instructor. Given
the high level of professionalism required by all instructors, resumes of
applicable skilled instructors will be available upon request.
