Overview

In 2021, Gordian and NIGP: The Institute for Public Procurement partnered to conduct market research from hundreds of procurement professionals on construction project delivery method challenges and opportunities. The scope of this research was to better understand construction procurement trends, solicitation activities and the differences between project delivery methods.

2.  How construction project delivery methods compare in terms of time and demands on procurement team bandwidth.

Presenter Bio(s) 

Andrea S. Patrucco, Ph.D. is Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management in the Department of Marketing and Logistics at the Florida International University College of Business. His research interests are in the field of management of buyer-supplier relationships in both the private and public sectors. He is one of the research leaders of the International Research Study of Public Procurement, and he actively collaborates with government organizations in the United States, such as the National Association of State Procurement Officers and the National Institute of Government Purchasing. His research appears in several academic journals such as Journal of Supply Chain Management, International Journal of Production and Operations Management, International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research, Supply Chain Management: an International Journal, Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, and International Journal of Logistics Management. In addition, he serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, and he sits on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Supply Chain Management and the International Journal of Logistics: Research and Applications

Ana-Maria Dimand, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Administration in the School of Public Service at Boise State University. She recently completed her Ph.D. and a Graduate Certificate in Public Finance, Procurement, and Contract Management, at Florida International University, Miami. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B) from the Romanian-American University, Bucharest, Romania. Ana has extensive practitioner experience in government contracting. Prior to her graduate studies, she served as a legal advisor for a central government organization in Bucharest, Romania, specializing in public procurement. Ana’s research focuses on public management, government contracting, environmental policy, innovation, sustainability, collaborative governance.
 
Randy Horn, PMP, CPA, MBA is the Director, Business Development, Western Region for Gordian. As Business Development Director, Randy is responsible for the strategic development and identification of agencies that can benefit from the Job Order Contracting (JOC). Mr. Horn has also severed as Regional Director responsible for the implementation, and continued support of the Job Order Contracting programs for several major cities, counties and universities, such as the City of San Francisco, the California State University System and the County of Sacramento. Randy has more than 18 years of financial and business management experience in both the public and private sector, with a focus on construction management, major capital programs and strategic growth. He holds a B.S. in Business/Accounting from University of Southern California, an MBA in Finance from University of California, Los Angeles and a Construction Management Certification from University of California, Los Angeles.
 

Attendance for Individuals

In order to receive one contact hour, each member needs to register for the webinar individually in advance and then watch the live webinar. Your credit is tabulated by match between your login and your registration.

Attendance for Groups

There is a Group Sign-In Form provided with each webinar. The group sign-in form does not register anyone for the webinar, it just verifies live attendance. Each person will receive their login email on the day of the webinar – this verifies their registration. The group sign in form verifies that they watched the live webinar.

Cancellation Policy

Registration and payment must be received 24 hours prior to the course start date. After this time, registrations will be based on space availability.  A full refund, less a $75 administrative fee will be given for cancellations made in writing 31+ days prior to the seminar date by emailing RegistrationInfo@nigp.org. No refunds are given for cancellations received within 24 hours of the seminar start date. There are no refunds for no-shows. If the seminar is cancelled for any reason, NIGP's liability is limited to the registration fee only.  

Attendee substitutions within the same agency may be done at any time with email notification to NIGP. If attending via scholarship, please provide documentation verifying the scholarship issuer's name and contact information in lieu of payment information.
